Those men believed that the Right way to achieve this goal was to imbibe the ideals of Swamiji in the minds of students who would be the future citizens of India. This idea gave birth to ‘Swami Vivekananda Vidyashala High School’ in 1971, with the permission of the Government of Karnataka. All this was undertaken under the guidance of Late Sri Dhondu Rao. With the constant encouragement and blessings of the swami’s and the devotees of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission, the school has developed and progressed by leaps and bounds. The school successfully completed its Silver Jubilee in the years 1996-97, and now it is on the threshold of its Golden Jubilee (50 years of dedicated service to the cause of education), and it continues to grow stronger by the day in its resolve to ensure the underprivileged are given the best of all round education.
