Job Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Flight Readiness Technician/Inspector (Level C) for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o A&P license REQUIRED
o FAA Airframe & Power Plant license or the aircraft years and experience necessary to obtain an FAA Repairman's certificate
o 1+ years of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
o 1+ years of avionics and/or electrical experience
o Willing and able to work any shift including days, nights and weekends

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Qualified candidates will perform routine final component installation and verification, as well as systems operational functional validation testing. Flight Readiness Technicians perform rework, modification, maintenance, preflight and post-flight checks for delivery, and troubleshooting. Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role. Duties may include (but are not limited to):
o Performs inspections of flight test installations and aircraft functional testing.
o Inspects pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and documents faulty components.
o Conducts pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs inspections of maintenance and modification actions.
o Resolves identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products.
o Verifies the accuracy of work performed.
o Assists in performing system & sub-system pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance in preparation for delivery.
o Plans, schedules and arranges own activities with the assistance of lead. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

HARD REQUIREMENT:
If hired, successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o 787 Program Experience
o Experience in a team environment
o Team Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience
o Airline/MRO/Overhaul experience
o Experience with computing & operating systems

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Bending
o Climbing Ladders (max height of 6 ft)
o Fitting in a confined space.
o On their feet for multiple hours a day.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).

WORK HOURS:
MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st, 2nd or 3rd SHIFT: 1ST: 6:00 AM -2:30 PM, 2ND: 2:30 PM-11:00 PM, 3RD: 10:30 PM 6:00 AM. Willing and able to work any shift including days, nights and weekends.
