**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various manual and automated machines. You will work with blueprints, manuals, and dispatch specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and set-up requirements. **Responsibilities** + Study blueprints, manuals, and dispatch specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and set-up requirements. + Perform pre-operational inspections. + Fully operate multiple machines as needed, including Conventional and CNC machines (lathe and mills). + Perform complex set-ups without assistance. + Operate machines on trial runs to verify accuracy of machine settings. + Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines. + Run parts through specific processes based on product specifications such as automated welding, sheer & brake presses, automated and manual saws, swaging, polishing, draw bench, roto draw machines, vacuum furnaces, HON machines, straightening, flattening, and roll-flow machines. + Assemble parts and/or pieces adhering to blueprints or dispatch sheets. + Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications. + Place finished parts into boxes and send to inspection. + Package and stage finished parts. + Conduct troubleshooting with minimal or no assistance, identifying and resolving problems. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of experience as a machine operator. + Ability to be trained on a variety of machines. + High School Diploma or GED. + Basic computer skills. + Ability to read and understand blueprints and program codes. + Capability to work within a team environment. + Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with driving sit-down forklifts and operating cranes is a plus, but not required. **Why Work Here?** The company offers great tenure and long-term growth opportunities. The machine shop hosts 25-27 machinists across three shifts. The company designs and manufactures precision metallic tubular parts and assemblies for the commercial aircraft, aerospace, defense, and industrial sectors. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
