Job Description

Krekow Jennings is seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to assist with the completion of a high-end residential project in the Portland area. Applicant must be willing to travel to Portland or reside in the area for the duration of the project. Upon completion, there may be an opportunity for continued employment with the company in the Seattle area and beyond.

The Concrete Foreman reports to the Superintendent and assists with directing subcontractors in a variety of scopes including:

Structural & Architectural Concrete

Slab-on-grade

Site & Landscaping Hardscapes

Coordination with related trades (MEP, Waterproofing, Framing, etc.)

This position will have some bags-on responsibility but is primarily focused on subcontractor direction, quality and safety. The ability to read and understand construction documents is required. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of the Bluebeam Revu software and will be generally computer savvy.

Requirements

  • Constructs, erects, installs and repairs structures and fixtures of many different building materials.
  • Must possess a mastery level in at least one construction discipline.
  • Interpret blueprints and layout between the phases of construction.
  • Position requires worker with varied experience and ability to perform multiple tasks transferring from one task to another according to work demands. Work under the direction of a supervisor or skilled worker and direct apprentice carpenters and laborers when directed.
  • This job requires practical problem solving in standardized situations and the ability to interpret and follow instructions.
  • This position requires heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and traversing scaffolding. Details of physical demands are provided during the interview process.
