In this role, the Environment Health & Safety Coordinator develops, implements, and monitors company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations. Responsibilities include conducting EHS related trainings, collecting and reporting EHS metrics, conducting regular safety walks, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, overseeing contractor management safety program, following up on hazard reports, identifying potential hazards and developing mitigation plans, ensuring closure of action items from Global Environmental Safety and Health team, supporting rollout of new programs, managing safety culture development, managing supplies of first aid kits and PPE, managing fire suppression and elevator inspection schedules, conducting safety committee meetings, and attending various meetings. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of Environment Health & Safety experience, an Associate or Technical degree in environmental science or related field, relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, ISO 14001), experience in safety and environmental management preferably in aviation, familiarity with aviation safety and environmental regulations, ability to conduct safety audits and training, strong communication skills, attention to detail, teamwork and leadership skills, and ability to travel 5%-10% of the year.
