Job Summary:We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychotherapist to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential therapeutic services to individuals in need while also contributing to administrative duties that support patient care. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing the mental well-being of patients, ensuring a high standard of care, and fostering a supportive and comprehensive healthcare environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations using various assessment methods, including interviews with patients, families, and other key individuals involved in their care.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique emotional, social, cognitive, developmental, and behavioral needs of each patient.
Collaborate with a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner when necessary to provide medication management consultations.
Provide crisis intervention support to ensure patient safety and well-being in critical situations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting treatment plans, progress, and any medication administration as needed.
Engage in ongoing professional development through reading, attending educational conferences, and participating in peer networking opportunities.
Ensure all work complies with ethical and legal guidelines, including HIPAA regulations.
Conduct both virtual and in-person office visits as needed to meet the diverse needs of patients.
Skills and Qualifications:
Master's or Doctorate degree in a mental health-related field (Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related discipline).
Completion of all training required for New York State registration, including BLS, ACLS, and Infection Control Training.
Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance with at least one year of experience as a licensed therapist.
Preferred licensure in New York State to provide counseling services (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMHC).
Additional certifications (ABA, DBT, CBT, EMDR) are a plus but not required.
Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred.
Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are highly desirable.
Strong collaboration and communication skills with an ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
