Overview
Berkeley Hills Country Club is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Marketing and Social Media Associate to support our marketing, communications, and membership initiatives. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent marketing graduate or an individual with 1 to 2 years of experience who is passionate about hospitality, branding, and digital engagement. The Associate will work closely with the General Manager and club leadership to enhance the club’s visibility, communicate with members, and support recruitment and retention efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
Marketing & Communications
  • Assist with planning and executing marketing campaigns to promote club events, amenities, and membership opportunities.
  • Draft, format, and distribute internal communications including email newsletters, flyers, and posters.
  • Collaborate on print and digital marketing materials in coordination with graphic designers, printers, and vendors.
  • Monitor and maintain the club’s brand standards across all media.
Social Media & Digital Content
  • Manage and schedule regular posts across club social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Create engaging content including photos, short videos, stories, and reels that highlight club life and events.
  • Monitor engagement metrics and analytics to assess performance and recommend improvements.
  • Respond to messages, comments, and tags in a timely and professional manner.
Event & Member Support
  • Assist in photographing and capturing key moments during club events.
  • Help promote upcoming events to drive member participation and awareness.
  • Support member acquisition efforts by creating digital and printed recruitment content.
  • Assist in managing website updates, digital calendar of events, and member-facing communications.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
  • 0–2 years of experience in marketing, social media, or communications role.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms (Meta Suite, Instagram, etc.).
  • Familiarity with basic graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Express, or similar).
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable capturing photos and short videos for digital content.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor and an interest in the hospitality and private club industry.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact).
  • Experience using content scheduling platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Later).
  • Basic photography/videography and light editing skills.
  • Prior experience working in a private club, hospitality, or event-based environment is a plus.
Work Schedule & Expectations:
  • Core hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends during major events.
  • This is an in-person role based at the club.
  • Must be self-motivated, team-oriented, and customer-focused.
  • Local candidates are preferred.
