STGi is currently seeking a Payroll Specialist for our Corporate Headquarters office located in Arlington, VA .

This is an entry level role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review/audit new hire folders for accuracy and verify any changes
• Process terminations and PTO payouts
• Calculate retro payments
• Prepare check requests and wire documentation for any out-of-cycle payments
• Maintain online timesheets
• Assist employees with training in ADP iPay and Deltek Time and Expense timesheets
• Assist/Train company personnel on purchase order requisitions
• Analyze proper charge codes and entering vouchers into the AP system
• Post expenses to the voucher distribution journal in the correct period
• Select invoices for payment and post to the cash disbursement journal
• Process checks weekly
• Post time sheets to the voucher distribution journal in the correct period
• Select timesheets for payment and post to the cash disbursement journal
• Creating EFT files and ensuring accurate payments to all consultants

Required Experience

• Minimum one year payroll and accounting experience (two years preferred).
• Knowledge of Deltek, Costpoint, Deltek Time and Expense and ADP Workforce Now.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Detail oriented and self-starter working in fast paced environment
• Bachelor's Degree in accounting recommended but not required.
