Job Description

Are you a certified Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Educator looking to lead a compassionate, inclusive spiritual care program in a pediatric setting? Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Spiritual Care Program Manager to oversee and grow our spiritual care services. This role combines leadership, program development, and direct care to ensure the spiritual needs of patients, families, and staff are met with excellence.

IMPORTANT: Applicants must be a Certified Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Educator or Supervisor. Applications without this credential will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operations of Spiritual Care Services.
  • Provide direct spiritual care to patients, families, and staff.
  • Supervise and maintain standards for our ACPE-accredited CPE program.
  • Mentor and oversee CPE interns and residents.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership on policy, ethics, and program development.
  • Participate in the Ethics Committee and provide consults as needed.
  • Manage departmental budget and staffing.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Divinity, Pastoral Counseling, or related field required
  • Minimum of 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) required
  • Certified CPE Educator/Supervisor through: ACPE, CPSP, or CPEI (required).
  • Certification by a recognized national pastoral care association.
  • Hospital or pediatric experience preferred.
  • Must reside within 1 hour of Wilmington, DE.
